The ultimate guide to Office Storage
An office without sufficient office storage will soon look cluttered and employees will struggle to find what they need when they need it. Consider if your staff actually requires their own under desk storage or if your office space is best utilised with sideboards or perhaps a storage wall?

Sideboards

Sideboards can be placed against a wall and if required you can fit matching wall cabinets above the unit. This solution allows you to maximise the wall space but still breaks the space up with the opportunity to use the sideboard top for accessories or paper work. Sideboards can also be used in the centre of a room to divide the space into various sections. As with all other office furniture, sideboards are available in various colours, styles and materials. You should be able to find a style that matches your desks but you may want to choose a colour or style that stands out to create a more interesting interior. Whatever style you choose we would recommend sideboards fitted with doors.

Storage wall

A storage wall is a system of floor to ceiling storage that will make the most of precious office floor space. The system can be divided into wardrobes for outdoor clothing, filing units for paperwork, shelves for books and multimedia – you can put together the best solution for your needs. In a smaller office where the storage unit may be the only main storage each employee could have their own section. If placed in a boardroom the storage wall can also contain AV systems. For a perfect fit and to prevent nasty surprises you are advised to have the fitting arranged by a reputable office furniture provider.

Wood Storage

You can find wooden office storage in oak, maple, beech and walnut to name a few and most office furniture stores will offer storage solutions and computer desks from the same range, making it easy for you to achieve a great coherent style. Many storage units now combine wood with stainless steel effects or with glass doors. Consider what combination of storage you have the most use for; sideboards, bookshelves, filing cabinets and cupboards.

Metal Storage

Metal storage units are sturdy, durable and secure and you will find them in most offices. They are usually fitted with locks which are perfect for your important paper work and some of them are fire resistant. Bisley metal drawers offer 100% opening and have an anti tilt system. And if you think that metal will make your office look dull, think again with many models now being available in bright colours like yellow, red and green.
